New ERP Software Optimizes Hermetics Specialist’s Business Processes

GNS, specialist in the development and manufacture of fire doors and roller shutters for industrial purposes, has selected Isah’s ERP solution. Isah is market leader in the field of ERP software for customer-driven businesses. GNS chose Isah, because they want to register and manage all activities in and from one central database.

“We used to work with customized software,” says René Roebersen, GNS managing director. “We have chosen Isah-7, because it is an integrated, standard ERP solution with extensive functionality. Using Isah-7, we can guarantee automation continuity within our organization.”

GNS was founded in 2007 as a result of a merger between the well-established companies Gorter Branddeuren, NRF and Slaets. With the merger of these companies, GNS became Holland’s largest and most modern manufacturer of fire doors and roller shutters. To centrally register all data within GNS and to be able to manage all business processes centrally, the organization selected a new ERP solution. GNS will be using Isah-7 company-wide. The advantage of this is that the organization will have a full insight into business management and results.

GNS has also chosen to implement Isah’s product configurator (PCF). GNS develops and manufactures a great diversity of fire doors and roller shutters. With the PCF, all available models can be registered in Isah-7 and will be easy to manage. GNS employees will be able to register offers and orders effortlessly. The result is an enormous gain in time, because both calculation and sales price are generated automatically. Furthermore, it is almost impossible for mistakes to be made, because the PCF checks which options necessitate or exclude others. This doesn’t just make the sales process much easier, but it also provides clear information for the production department.

“Thanks to Isah-7 and the product configurator, we will be able to optimize our business processes further,” René Roebersen continues. “This doesn’t just offer us insight into business management, but it ensures that we can improve upon the quality of our products as well.”

Forty employees will be working with Isah-7. The project has already started and is planned to go live on June 1st, 2009.
